  2. @Sleepysciencechannel Im a 58 year old disabled female in Delaware.
The things you said about educating yourself and the difference between the tinctures, extracts, and different things are so important.
I got sick in 2000 and had no clue about what to use naturally, I didn’t have a computer in the beginning.
By 2016, I was tired and ready to give up. I used meditation a lot to breathe through the pain and fall asleep. I was ready to go and too tired to even go to the streets anymore.
After one meditation, I got a video about a tea called kratom.
I thought there was no way it could help my pain, drs didn’t even acknowledge it. I was labeled an addict, sent to rehab, and lost my teeth because of suboxone (They dont warn you about that. They just break right off).
I’m so glad I was wrong. After my 2nd cup, I felt relief, called my drs, and was able to get a 3 hour surgery proving my pain was real. Severe abdominal adhesions (IC, fibro, and kidney stones, too)
I could finally stand up straight.
Now, 9 years later, I’m still fighting to keep it legal. It varies from state to state, I’m in Delaware, no regulation. Because of lax or no regulation, the extracts, metabolites and tinctures all get lumped in with the plain leaf tea and people that don’t consume responsibly or have other things in their system, blame the tea.
The tea has a built in safety mechanism that if you drink too much, you throw up. That’s it. Science shows that, but some won’t look.
Now I fight to keep it safe, legal and educate people. There are over 150 bills and ordinances in the United States this year. Some are regulation but a lot are bans. And they do put us in jail over drinking a tea.
After kratom we’ll be advocating for the other plants that help, but are illegal due to the money they take from pharma, specialists, recovery centers and lawyers are taking advantage of grieving mothers. If you hear of a ban in your area, speak up. This plant is a miracle. Mitragynina Speciosa. Just tested crushed leaf and water, not the extracts and stay away from 70h, they don’t belong I gas stations or convenience stores at all. They have a place though.
I’m just thrilled I’m still alive and able to function, I didn’t think I would be.
Hopefully this will give someone else hope and something to research. We all know someone it can help, if not ourselves. It also helps with recovery. My drs are thrilled, my pcp and therapist of 25 years. Definitely recommend therapy once finding out you didn’t have to suffer all those years or lose family members who couldn’t take it any longer. ❤️💪🙏😴
